以及於攝影棚架設高科技保全監視總控制中心，本劇原來的劇名為「賭場之眼Casino Eye」，
隨後更改為「拉斯維加斯」，本劇響亮的客串名人亦是吸引觀眾的原因之一，
包括Alec Baldwin、Dennis Hopper、Jean-Claude Van Damme、Mimi Rogers、Paris Hilton以及魔戒的Sean Astin。

  由熱門電影「玩命關頭The Fast and the Furious 」編劇Gary Scott Thompson所創的影集「拉斯維加斯」 ，
於2003秋季首播便創下18-49 歲年齡層收視紀錄，成為最受歡迎的新影集，
這齣節奏快速且性感的影集以賭城裡的保全監視工作為舞台，帶領大家一窺「罪惡之城」裡最大的豪華賭場飯店。
曾因「教父」入圍奧斯卡以及金球獎的老牌影星詹姆斯肯恩在本劇飾演Montecito休閒中心賭場保全監視團隊老大
Ed Deline，與他的得意弟子、在拉斯維加斯土生土長、有海軍陸戰隊背景的Danny McCoy(Josh Duhamel飾演)合作，
他們共同對付詐賭客人、暴發戶以及反控賭場片前的賭客，如果說這些繁雜的公事還不夠他們忙，
Ed 老大最近還發現Danny跟他的寶貝獨生女Delinda (Molly Sims所飾)也有一腿。
其他角色還包括Danny McCoy的青梅竹馬、即將升任為公關的Mary Connell (Nikki Cox所飾)以及
萬事通招待Mike Cannon (James Lesure所飾)，精明能幹的”冰山美人”賭場經理Nessa Holt (Marsha Thomason所飾)，
以及從別家賭場跳槽過來的娛樂公關Samantha “Sam” Jane (Vanessa Marcil所飾)。

Gary Scott Thompson與Gardner Stern (NBC的 “法網遊龍Law & Order,” “霹靂警探NYPD Blue”), 
Scott Steindorff (“人性污點 The Human Stain”), Justin Falvey (“Undeclared”)

很多看過Las Vegas的人都有一個疑問：到底是Josh Duhamel真的那麼高，還是James Caan很矮？
因為兩人站在一起身高差距很大，答案當然是前者。
爲此Las Vegas的宣傳照都需特別處理，所以我們會看到各式Josh往後站、坐下、蹲低
或是經過修飾的同劇演員合照。這張是未經處理的簽名合照。

Josh在2003年11月時在戲外因打籃球發生意外拉傷足部韌帶，醫生為他打上石膏，並表示需六個月時間恢復，
迫使Las Vegas編劇讓他在戲裡受槍傷柱柺杖，不過壞人照樣追到喔，編劇想出的一些柺杖相關"笑"果也十足。

Josh所飾的Danny周旋於劇中多位美女卻有點不知所措的可愛模樣極受觀眾喜愛，

在第一季第13集:The Night the Lights Went Out in Vegas中，Montecito賭場遇上拉斯維加斯大停電，
其實這是編劇Gary Scott Thompson在NBC高層預算壓力下被迫想出的劇情，
沒有任何明星客串，整集讓全體演員在好萊塢攝影棚中拍攝，
這集讓Danny與Mary利用被困在電梯裡的時間好好回顧過往的感情，
也是第一季中收視排行第六高的一集。

Josh從第一集開始就有許多性感裸露演出，與女星演出親密鏡頭被傳為令未婚妻吃醋而分手的主要原因，
Josh的回答是：「她知道我只是在演戲啦，她知道我有多愛她的。」
對於劇中人物Danny在被上司女兒Delinda拋棄後是否會再續前緣，
Josh表示：「我希望我們不是到此為止，這樣我又可以看到Molly Sims的裸體了。」

Asked about his views of the war in Iraq, Duhamel said: 
"I don't want to get too much into that, 
other than what your stance is on the war, 
we should always support people over there defending this country. 
It's very scary over there, 
and I don't think you're truly an American if you don't support these people."
