MER 2006 Business Meeting

This is being held in conjunction with the 2006 Tidewater Division 2006 Train Show in lieu of trying hold a convention the same year as having had the NMRA National in Philadelphia.

Train Show admission is free for MER members if you bring something for Toys for Tots; or, you can make a cash donation instead, if you aren't a toy-shopper.

The schedule is pretty simple, there's not a whole lot going on, as we're not holding a full-size convention:

Friday, October 27th, 3-9pm: Chuck Davis will have his layout open for folks arriving in town on Friday. Directions, a couple blocks from Old Dominion University.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 9-11 am: Richard Hudson will have his layout open. Directions, in Portsmouth.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, all day: the train show. Senator John Warner may be there about noon.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 1-4pm: MER Board meeting, upstairs. members are welcome to attend, up to the room limit :) If there's something you want to bring up, let your nearby Director know beforehand.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 4pm: Train Show closes to the public. Cleanup takes about 30 minutes. MER members may stay during this time.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 4.30 or so (depending on cleanup end): MER Business Meeting, upstairs. I don't know how many the room holds, so maybe that won't work, in which case we'll do this somewhere on the show floor.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 5pm: exeunt the Convention Center, to dinner at:
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 5.30 (NLT): dinner at Beach Bully, a BBQ place two blocks away, for however many want to go and fit in the place :) Please sign in during the train show, so we get a count to alert them with.
Saturday, Ocober 28th, 6-8.30 pm: Tom Sullivan will have his layout open. Directions, in Virginia Beach.
