The Arkham Asylum

The Arkham Asylum courtyard in 1932.

Many of Arkham's notables spent time here for a rest from their daily activities, and always returned refreshed and calm, and ready for the good life in Arkham.

The Scientist's Wing has always been popular, and is outfitted with one of the most complete and up-to-date laboratories in the United States. Many unusual discoveries have been made there.

The Asylum remains a popular attraction, and many celebrities have "taken the cure."

It is operated thru public endowments, including substantial donations from Bruce Wayne and the Vlad Tepes Fund.

Simon and Wilbur Griswold were founders of Griswold Mortuary in 1918. All services are offered, including burial, cremation, complete incineration, and taxidermy.

The Sultan of Switch and his entourage during their visit in 1927.

The Sultan came to peruse old tomes at the Miskatonic University Library, and went home quite mad indeed.

Theophilus Ginch and his dog, "Wags."

Mr. Ginch developed a liking for dogs during his stay in the Orient, and liked to say that he had eaten at least one of every known breed.

"Chihuahuas make the best soup," he was known to say, "But the Cocker Spaniel is best roasted and stuffed, with an apple in it's mouth."

Arkham Tours

Arkham Tours has three modern bus-limos and gives guided tours thru Arkham and it's outskirts.
