While this photo was taken in 1900, the Cthulhu's Army Band is still a familiar sight on Arkham's street corners, playing hymns to the Great Old Ones and urging all who pass to "get right with Cthulhu." |

The black-hooded Sacrificial Priests are an important part of religious activities in Arkham. The hooked staff serves to remove bodies quickly and efficiently. Mothers threaten misbehaving children that the "Black Hoods" will get them if they are not good, and sometimes the Black Hoods get them anyway. |

The Universal Conspiracy Against Everything holds its annual dance at the 1956 Convention. This was their first year at their new site, in Arkham. The tragedy of Colondra, and the attendant bad publicity for the 'Folk Dance Association,' made the move necessary. |

The two giant Anthropoidal Skulls found in 1866 during excavation for the new bank caused much excitement at Miskatonic University. The lack of an evident jaw, and marks on the bone indicating a set of tentacles around the mouth-parts, were noticed by a graduate student in 1983. |

The Arkham Museum of Natural History opened its doors to the public in 1946, and the crowds were thick and eager. It has the usual specimens of animal exhibits, but its Deep-Sea section is the most visited for the R'lyeh display, and the Real History of Civilization, with models of various creatures, is quite amazing. |

Millicent Tawdry could not bear to part with her cat "Ralph." Her new Spring hat set a fashion in Arkham, and one could see cats, small dogs, hamsters and the occasional child worn on the heads of the demi-monde. |
