John, Hermione and Frederick Millanthrope were arrested for "unnatural acts" in the early 1900's in Arkham. Remanded to custody in Innsmouth, they were eventually freed due to the intercession of The Church of Dagon, which proved to the authorities that their act was consensual, not offensive to Arkham, and not covered under the then legal statutes. The statute was immediately changed by the State Legislature. |

The Sullivan Sisters were famed far and wide as the finest Temple Dancers that H***** ever had. From 1925 until 1940 they danced at every major ritual within the Temple. In November of 1940, one of them inadvertently moaned the name of the God while writhing in ritual passion. The God immediately manifested, and took her and her two sisters with him. Their passing was much mourned, as such talent was (and still is) rare. |

Jefferson Q. Hopkins was the victim of a curse due to his interference in one of the rituals held by a small sect of worshippers of Nyarlathotep. As long as he held a small statuette of unknown origin in his left hand, the effects were held at bay, but when he ceased holding it, the curse made itself known. This photo was taken while he was holding the statuette, as the photographer refused to picture him under the curse's influence, saying it was too terrible to put on film. |
