Our dogs come from many places; strays, animal services, and changing home situations. Although Malamutes are wonderful dogs, their large size and independent nature make them not the breed for everyone!

If you are interested in learning more about any of these dogs or about how you can help, please call Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New Mexico at 505-678-3733 or email us at  malamuterescue@zianet.com  We are actively looking for homes that may be able to foster a dog while he/she waits for a new permanent home. Fostering needs range from a few days to several months. If you have a fenced yard and a love of these beautiful dogs, give us a call. Malamute Rescue also welcomes volunteer help and, of course, donations are always appreciated too!
