This Matco PV-1 parking brake valve is mounted under the forward baggage compartment. I can reach right under to activate it, without the need for a cable. It comes in quite handy when you have to shut down on an unlevel area, and there is nobody to chock you (assuming that you could get chocks under the wheelpants).
The ports on the valve are too close together to use standard AN 822 fittings, so I used Earls swivel AN fittings. (www.raceplumbing.com)
When I contacted Matco about this shortcoming, they responded that it was designed to be used with Poly fittings. Plastic pressure lines for a brake system on a taildragger, I DON'T THINK SO!
They did say that they would pass along my observation (complaint) to their design department. The valve has worked fine, and was the lightest, most compact valve on the market.
