Since the canopy is always trying to roll back towards the tail, where it's impossible to reach without removing your shoulder harness, a mid travel stop is required. This version works very well, and I can preset the stop for mid, or full travel, and when I unlatch and release  the canopy, it will roll to whichever position I selected.
