Free Take Out Site on Coldwater Creek

Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center would like to let the WFCC members know that they are welcome to take out at our landing free of charge, instead of paying our usual $10 landing fee.  And while you are there feel free to stop by our shop. – Brett Sanford

WFCC Donates To Local Environment Groups

Our club will be donating $200 each to the Pensacola Gulf Coastkeepers and Project GreenShores. These local volunteer groups are dedicated to improving and preserving our natural environments.

The Pensacola Gulf Coastkeepers monitors watershed quality and the waterways along the coast. See their website at www.coastkeepers.org.

Project GreenShores collect water samples for testing the quality of our coastal waterways and bays.  They are restoring the seagrass beds along Bayfront Parkway near the bridge from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze.

OBTAINING AN EGLIN PASS

Many of the streams and creeks we paddle are on Eglin Air Force Range and require a pass for access.  They check frequently and there is a fine for not having a pass. The streams we paddle which are on Eglin range are Turkey Creek, Boiling Creek, Ti Creek, Rocky Bayou Creek, Weaver Creek and Turkey Hen Creek to the Yellow River. All these paddles require you to have the pass on your person to enter the range. Throughout the coming summer we will probably paddle all of these streams. So don’t wait. Get the pass so you don’t miss any great paddles.
