Custom Batcave
The C3 Batcave - it's a thing of beauty. Unfortunately, you have to close one eye and kind of squint with the other after staring into the sun for two minutes to see the beauty. Prior to purchasing the set, I had read about structual flaws and I read about a version 2.0. However, when the opportunity arose to pick up a Batcave cheap, I didn't care about the version. I built it. It was shaky. Things fell apart. I fixed it with some emergency support Lego pieces. Here are the images of the cave as it stands now. Notice how I've lost my garage area for the Batmobile? IMAGE 1. IMAGE 2. IMAGE 3. So I sketched up a few DESIGNS for a new Batcave. I planned to structually enhance the Batcave with some Lego rock pieces. This would hopefully keep the Batcave from falling in on itself and give it more of a cave look. I loaded up a Lego CAD program (LDraw). You can read about it on a THREAD here. I developed a nice design based on my sketches. I finished the first floor and laid out most of the second. IMAGE 1. IMAGE 2. IMAGE 3. I have picked up the Batcycle and Batcopter. Adjustments will need to be made to incorperate these new vehicles into the design. I have a cool vision of something to do for the cycle. I'm going to try and sketch it out and see if I makes sense when I breath life into it. I'm a fool and have just purchased another Batcave. It was cheap. I'd do it again if the chance arises. So I'll be scrapping the original redesign. Sketching up some new concepts with double the pieces. Hopefully, this will turn out really well. New sketches of Custom Batcave v2.0. IMAGE. Still waiting to receive my second cave - it should arrive sometime this week. [Update]
