Cleomes
are also known as spider flowers. These plants come up from
seeds every year in a variety of colors. These are the two extremes
of the colors.

This

of lavender colored flowers. Sweet.

daffodils that we had this year were all from previous years' plantings.

I
really like the way the shadow looks in this photo. Plus the fence
in the background has a rustic feel to it. It's a keeper. I
don't know what the flower is. It came up from the neighbor's yard.

This
nicotiana does really well at Cloud's End. It reseeds year after
year. We let several grow a year and they reward us by giving us
a wonderful fragrance in the evenings.

Delphiniums
do not usually look like this. I took a close-up of the terminal
flower on the stalk. My friend Brenda liked this one so much I made
an enlargement for her. It's the least I could do after breaking
her frame!

Cosmos
is another annual that is easy to grow from seed. Here it is with
some of the gloriosa daisies (rudbeckia).

If you like the plant, use the common name. If you don't like it,
call it globba!
