This is the view along the back of the garden. Doesn't it look inviting?
The bench sits under the pear tree, which provides a shady respite from
the summer sun.

Here is a view of the garden in early April. It is one of the
best times of the year for the garden. Clematis, roses, and Louisiana
irises are blooming nicely and there is lots of green everywhere.

The back garden in mid-April. The rose on the right is a family heirloom.
It was Chuck's grandmother's and we rescued it from his mother's house.

Across the back garden looking west looking toward the sunny areas that
includes the Rose Walk.

The 'Red Ribbons' roses in the front garden were a nice accent to the pastel
roses, Louisiana iris, and larkspur this spring. I was concerned
that there were going to be too many soft colors blending together, but the
'Red Ribbons' didn't let that happen.

Another setup for Better Homes & Gardens: The delphiniums
bloom in the foreground. You can also see the bottlebrush in the center
almost in full bloom. On the arch is the rose Reve d'Or.

Nicotiana and verbena along the shadier side of the Rose Walk. You
can see the the roses 'Celine Forestier' and 'Lamarque' in the background.
In this photo they look pretty much like one type of rose, kinda like in
real life!

There were dragonflies all over the garden in May 2003. Any time you
walked out into the garden you could see them swarming about. I don't
remember seeing so many of them before.
