We got this pelican weathervane a few years ago.  We thought it was appropriate since we live in Louisiana.

This is an experiment I did with blending two photo from the garden.  I realized recently that I couldn't double expose a picture on the digital camera.  But I can digitally combine two photos with more control.

The Arch of the Crossing as seen looking back to the house.  The yellow rose in the foreground is 'Easy Going' and the pinker rose is the climber 'Aloha.'

The back garden as seen from the back fence line.  This was before the roses started blooming.  Looking at this photo now is surprising.  So much has changed since this photo was taken.  I like the way the tree trunks look in this photo.

I was just playing around when I took this photo of the gazing ball, but I like the way it came out.  You can see the top of the tree that the ball is nestled in and you can see the tree behind me.  Cool.

This is the Rose Walk after the nicotiana started to mature.  They are annuals that are a white color and have a sweet fragrance in the evening.  They reseed quite well for us.  We just have to remove the ones we don't want!

Kew thinks that Cloud's End is his garden.  He is mostly an outdoor cat and he finds lots of places to explore all day.  He is a skittish cat, so this is your best way to view him!! (Check out Kew's new photo page .)

2003 - This photo came out nicely.  I've always liked that red azalea in the background, and the arches provide a good frame for it.
This is a similar setup to the one used by Ann Warner for one of her paintings of Cloud's End.
