Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' is a perennial vine that is evergreen during most winters here.  It blooms throughout the summer and on some days has a nice, light fragrance.  It is one of my favorite vines and this is one of my favorite photos from the garden.

Thunbergia laurifolia is one of the best flowering vines for the the South.  It does die back to the ground every winter, but its vigorous growth during the summer compensates for that.  Then, in the fall, it is covered by beautiful flowers.

The clematis 'Mme. Edouard Andre' is one of the first clematis vines we purchased.  It has really done well for us, blooming for most of the growing season.  The flowers are larger in the early spring.

'Ramona' is another good clematis for the South.  We have one on both sides of a large arch leading to the back garden.  The flowers are very large and it blooms for an extended period.  This picture was taken in October and the flowers were still going strong.

October 1999 - This is passiflora coccinea.  I just call it the red passionvine.  This is the first bloom on the vine.  Passionflowers have such interesting blooms.

The clematis 'Niobe' is one of the first clematis vines we bought.  I really like this photo.  I even entered it into a photo contest.  Didn't win a thing!!

In July, the passionflowers are at their best.  They must love the hot weather.  This one is called 'Incense' and it has an interesting color and structure.

Gloriosa lily is a vining bulb.  How unusual.  And the flower is unusually striking.  I like this one.
