Colorforms Outer Space Men

Introduction:

This site is dedicated to one the most imaginative toys ever produced: the Colorforms Outer Space Men. I began production of this site to enhance the availablity of information on this line and have attempted to organize it so that it might be an aid to the Colorforms Outer Space Man collector. Most of the information presented on this site is pulled from various places on the Internet, a group of dedicated collectors, and from items in my own collection. If there is any misinformation or areas where I have not included enough detail, please let me know. I will be glad to correct any discrepancies.

Overview:

The Colorforms Outer Space Men, as they were marketed, were a very short-lived highly imaginative line of poseable figures depicting alien life from the planets in our solar system and beyond. These figures represented the first venture into the action figure market by Colorforms company and were produced in the late sixties.

These figures were developed in two series, although, only the first set of seven figures made it to the store shelves. Series one included alien life forms from seven of the nine planets in our solar system, while series two consisted of six figures and planned on exploring the reaches beyond. (Series two never made it past the prototype stage)

Today, these highly sought after figures are considered by many collectors to be one of the most creative toy lines ever made.
