The Christian Outreach Ministries Evangelist (C.O.M.E.) is an evangelistic organization that was formed in January of 1985 under the leadership of Rev. Corbin N. Nash. Rev. Nash had the vision of carrying the Gospel to those in need and to win people to Christ.
The outreach began by answering the call to any open door. There was a need in the nursing homes and the call was answered by C.O.M.E. As a result of answering this call, many other ministry opportunities were opened to C.O.M.E. such as prisons, halfway homes, and churches. This has resulted in many souls being won for the Lord.
C.O.M.E was selected by Eddie Warrior Correctional Center as the "Volunteer of the Year " in 1997. In a letter from the Eddie Warrior warden it stated, "You [C.O.M.E.] have been faithful and consistent in your desire to meet the spiritual needs of the women. The effects can improve the quality of the offenders' lives and help them toward making responsible decisions". In August of 2001, the ministry received recognitions and proclamations from the Mayor's Office and City Council of Tulsa Oklahoma.
The ministry has also published three books authored by Rev. Nash. The books are "Take Your Victory", "Trying of Your Faith" and "Who Are You?" In addition, the ministry sponsors the radio program "The Gospel Power Hour" aired on KTOW in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Over the years, the ministry has expanded to four chapters. These chapters are located in the states of Maryland, Michigan, and Oklahoma.
