Coaching Staff
Nadir Moumen,
Coach:
Nadir is the Director of the Total Futbol Academy
and has earned a US Soccer Federation National B license and an NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma.
He played youth soccer in Northern Virginia and continued at
James Madison University. Nadir
has a proven track record of success with individual and team development,
including the nationally-ranked U14 CYA Firecats who have won WAGS Division 1 and played in the
past two Virginia State Cup final fours. He also is a staff coach for the
Washington Freedom Super Y teams. Nadir employs
the PEP program to enhance athletic performance and reduce the number of ACL
injuries in female athletes.
Karl Gibbons, Coach: Karl grew up playing soccer in Costa Rica. He earned a US Soccer Federation National C license and is an instructor with Total Futbol. He, too, holds an NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma. A gifted coach and exceptional player, Karl played at Hartwick College and professionally for Regensburg FC (Germany), Salzburg (Austria), and the Northern Virginia Royals. He also is a Staff Coach with VYSA and the Olympic Development Program.
