Coaching Staff
Nadir Moumen, Coach: Nadir is the Director of the Total Futbol Academy and has earned a US Soccer Federation National B license. He also has earned an NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma and played at James Madison University. Nadir has a proven track record of success with individual and team development, including the nationally-ranked U14 CYA Firecats who won WAGS Division 1 in Spring 2008 and played in the Virginia State Cup final. Nadir also led the rapid development of the CYA Blast, one of the teams with which the Comets merged to form our White and Purple squads. Nadir employs the PEP program to enhance athletic performance and reduce the number of ACL injuries in female athletes.
Karl Gibbons, Coach: Karl has earned a US Soccer Federation National D license and is an instructor with Total Futbol. He, too, holds an NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma. A gifted coach and exceptional player, Karl played at Hartwick College and professionally for Regensburg FC (Germany) and Salzburg (Austria).
Chris Mustain, Coach: Chris has earned a US Soccer Federation National D license and played at Heidelberg College, twice earning Academic All-Ohio status. Chris coached the Comets through their formative seasons of small-sided play and will assist the Total Futbol instructors. He also serves as the Treasurer and Webmaster for the Comets White and Purple.
