During the 10th Crusade of Abbadon, the hive fleet Selyum was utterly destroyed in space due to its small size and interference with Abbadon’s path. Descending upon an unknown sector the remainder of the Hive Fleet festered and grew slowly striping all biological life in the sector. When Abbadon embarked on his 13th crusade the hive fleet wanted revenge but instead fell with the rest of the tyranids in mankind’s galaxy upon agripinaa and utterly overran the Humans their. Still the remains of Hive Fleet Selyum wanted revenge. They still fester and grow in agripinaa to this day, awaiting the strength to stand against Abbadon.

Commander Selathym is known amongst his hive as an uncontrolled Hive tyrant answering only to the hive mind. When his Hive Fleet was all but destroyed hate planted its seed in him and drives him to attack chaos despite the best wishes of the hive mind. He yet has the strength to attack Abbadon himself but has defeated countless imperial worlds. He still holds his hate but will wait for the strength and less control from the hive mind to attack Abbadon himself.

Tyranids Hive Fleet Jormungand Perfect Tyrant Genocide
Of the many Tyranid Hive Fleets on the verge of our galaxy, few are as fearsome as the diverse and powerful Hive Fleet Jormungand. While this fleet possesses many creatures not unlike those of Leviathan or Kraken, Jormungand in particular has creatures unlike any other fleet. This great organism, this monstrous entity, possesses 2 of the greatest Tyranids seen in battle so far. The first of these beasts is known and feared as the Shadow Tyrant. This winged creature is ancient beyond belief and immeasurably powerful. From what is known it is thought that this powerful creature is a variant of the Tyrant genus from back many hundreds of years ago, when the Tyranids employed their weapons as if it were a sword or gun, however distastefully. It seems this creature has built up an incredible amount of weapon skill through experience over the centuries. The second can be called one name only- the Perfect Tyrant. This monstrous being has left scarred battlefields with few survivors remaining. The scarce reports tell very little of this beast, as the handful that have ever survived have been reduced to insanity. Both of these creatures are considered a feared trademark of Jormungand, and are both highly dangerous in combat.
