The B-24 Liberator Bomber

Produced in greater numbers than any other aircraft in the United States during WWII, the B-24 Liberator Bomber was an improvement on the B-17.
The B-24 Liberator could carry the same bomb load as the B-17, but at a faster speed, higher ceiling, and longer range.
19,256 B-24 Liberator bombers were produced during the war.
B-24 Liberators are credited with 70 U-Boats sunk during the Battle of the Atlantic.
