REV. GORDON BISHOP, Ed.D., is the Founding Minister of San Diego Center for Spiritual Living, formerly the Downtown Community Church, in the revitalized urban core of San Diego and an ER Chaplain with Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Dr. Bishop was a career educator before he was Ordained. He is a former School Superintendent, President of the NewSchool of Architecture, and President of Holmes Institute School of Consciousness Studies. He and his wife, Dr. Karen Bishop, reside in downtown San Diego and travel extensively.

Our Founding Minister, Dr. Gordon Bishop, "passes the torch" to our new Sr. Minister, Rev. John Poleski. Rev. John has agreed to lead us in expansion and growth and the realization of our vision of a vibrant and diverse spiritual community serving the needs of Downtown San Diego. Meditation 9:30 am. His music and lectures are rooted in the south Indian system of music known as Karnatic. In this lecture he will explain more about how music can calm and heal the body.

REV. KATHY HEARN, D.D. is the Community Spiritual Leader of United Centers for Spiritual Living. She is highly regarded as an international motivational speaker and teacher. She founded Pacific Church of Religious Science in San Diego where she was Senior Minister for 15 years. Dr. Kathy has been active in the leadership of UCSL, having held the positions of President and Vice President of United Clergy of Religious Science and Vice Chair of the International Board of Trustees. She is the former Director of Holmes Institute--San Diego Regional Center, and is an instructor in the Holmes Institute Graduate School of Consciousness Studies.
