Map of Korea-Paul Kerezsi landed in Pusan, then participated in the Inchon landings, the battle for Seoul, then on to Wonsan and the battle at Chosin Reservior.  He was evacuated from Hungnam and was taken back to Chinhae. China is to the North, and Japan is to the Southeast. The attack was vicious and many lives were lost.  Not sure he would make it out alive, Paul walked most of the way from the Chosin Reservior to Hungnam where the troops were eventually evacuated to Chinhae.  My mother and father were thrilled & relieved to have him home safe again

Paul loved the Marine Corps. He  was a career Marine serving in WW2, the Korean War, and Vietnam before retiring in January of 1970.
