Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 5:19-20

Photo taken at Heather's piano recital, December 12, 2005. She played a beautiful, flawless performance.
The recital was held at her teacher's house (Miss Fran), just 2 days after Heather's 18th birthday.

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.
     Ephesians 5:1-2a

But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth,
the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this,
make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.
     2 Peter 3:13-14

Homesick

You’re in a better place,
I’ve heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I’ve rejoiced for you
But the reason why I’m broken the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home’s where my heart is then I’m out of place
Lord won’t you give me strength
To make it through somehow
I‘ve never been more homesick than now

Help me Lord because
I don’t understand Your ways
The reason why I wonder if I’ll ever know
But even if You showed me
The hurt would be the same
Because I’m still here so far away from home

In Christ there are no goodbyes
In Christ there is no end
So I’ll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again

Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens.
He is always the same and never makes dark shadows by changing. He wanted us to be his own special people,
and so he sent the true message to give us new birth.
James 1:16b-18

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work
so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4

For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his
heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share
his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
Romans 8:16-18

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you,
I always pray with joy. I am happy because you have joined me in spreading the good news.
You have done so from the first day until now. I am sure that the One who began a good work in
you will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns.
        Philippians 1:3-6

Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!
1 Chronicles 16:8-10

I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory.
Psalm 63:2

But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
        Jeremiah 10:12-13

For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.                  2 Corinthians 4:5-6

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future,
nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.
All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely,
just as God now knows me completely.
1 Corinthians 13:12

You are like light for the whole world. A city built on top of a hill cannot be hidden, and no one would
light a lamp and put it under a clay pot. A lamp is placed on a lampstand, where it can give
light to everyone in the house. Make your light shine, so that others will see the good
that you do and will praise your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16

Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord.        Psalm 34:11

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts.
Use them well to serve one another.
1 Peter 4:10

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of
my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Psalm 27:4

Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; celebrate his lovely name with music.
Psalm 135:3

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
Revelation 21:3-4

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the
kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14
