Evolution of a Cheeseburger

Essentially, the cheeseburger is made out of paper mache and chicken wire. It took 10 months to build! The top bun goes up & down on air pistons.  As the top bun goes up, a shark on a track comes out of the cheeseburger. The front nozzle shoots a six foot stream of cold water.  Make a pilgrimage to see the giant cheeseburger at next years Jimmy Buffett concert at The Tweeter Center (Greatwoods), Mansfield,MA. I'm usually located in the first two rows in the main parking lot.                    See you there!!!!!!!!!

A real cheeseburger had to be cooked and dimensioned for accuracy.

Chicken wire was stapled to an octagon shaped wood frame.

We had to paper mache sections at a time due to the weight of the wet paper
on the chicken wire.

Tracks were then placed inside the bottom bun for the shark to roll on.
The shark is fastened to a plastic toy car frame.  When the top bun goes up,
a fishing line pulls the shark out of the cheeseburger.

Two air cylinders are used to lift the top bun up.  The top bun is attached to
the bottom bun using door hinges.  I manually operate a valve to control
the opening of the top bun. With the use of a rented air cylinder,
I can operate the cheeseburger for three pre-concert parking lot parties.
