Core
Resources (CR) is a resource gathering
company, consisting of members from the neutral trade player association
“Avian Technology and Trade”.
CR was born out of the realization that in order to be successful in
Star Wars Galaxies, one must establish a higher level cooperation with
fellow players. This is most certainly true of the trade &
merchant professions.
Partners of
CR
intend to pool their assets (knowledge,
abilities, skills, credits, and property) together in order to
establish a solid infrastructure of resource gathering facilities, which
will be
usable by all Partners. From this infrastructure we will eventually
expand our reach to encompass all the planets in Star Wars Galaxies
Goals of Core Resources:
Supply
“Avian Technology and Trade” with all their resource needs.
In the beginning we will gather the
most accessible and needed resources. Over time we would like to be
able to provide every usable resource SWG has to offer.
Continually expand our market share of resources.
Each player will not start out with enough
credits to establish his/her own resource gathering facility. By
pooling our assets together we will be able to setup an early
infrastructure, giving us an advantage over our competition.
Furthermore by keeping our prices low we will gain more and more
customers who will always be on the lookout for the best buy.
Aggressive expansion, low prices, and member teamwork will be the keys
to our success.
Develop a
resource gathering system that maximizes efficiency.
We want to establish a system whereby all
members can maximize skill efficiency, and eliminate unnecessary skill
duplication between fellow members.
Educate
our members in the various skills and trees relevant to resource
gathering. As more data becomes available and
understood, we will teach our members everything they need to know in
order to become a successful SWG player.

What is Avian
Technology And Trade
Since it’s foundation in the summer of 2001, the
trading and crafting organization Avian
Technology and Trade and its members have been dedicated to
creating the best possible environment for all its members to enjoy
and prosper in the Star Wars Galaxy.
With its devoted and enthusiastic professionals
dealing in a variety of trades, from Resource Gathering & Research to
Entertainment & Engineering and beyond, Avian
Technology and Trade offers a wide range of opportunities
and services in an intelligent and respectful atmosphere to ensure you
have the most enjoyable experience possible in your dealings with the
Galaxy.
Our Advantage
First, Avian
Technology and Trade will consist mostly of "Item Producers",
creating everything from vehicles to weapons and everything
in-between. Every item produced will be made from various resources.
The large population of "Item Producers" in Avian will create an
equally large demand for resources. By being apart of Avian
Technology and Trade, we will have the first chance to the satisfy
their demand. That's job security.
Second, Our
partners will pool assets together in order to quickly build a
resource gathering infrastructure. Our team work will allow us to
gain a significant head start over our competition.
Third, Partners
of Core Resources will try to avoid competition between their
selves. Each Partner will choose a different resource to gather.
Only resources who's demand is greater than that which one Partner can
handle will be assigned additional Partners. In this way we will
assure profitable markets for all Partners, and possibly allow for
greater efficiency in skill selection.
Forth, Avian
has established a rule requiring all members to discount products and
services 15% when selling to fellow members. That means cheaper
supplies and equipment for our resource gathering operations. That
also means we will have to discount when we sell our resources to
Avian members, however I don't see that as a problem. Our sells
to Avian members will be discounted to a price that allows us
to pay the bills and maintain equipment, quite possibly lower than
15%. Basically Avian's business will keep Core Resources running
while sells outside Avian will bring larger profits to individual
Partners.
