    Pastor Harvey R. Jones Jr. became pastor in November of 1993 after serving as assistant pastor to his father for 5 years. Pastor emeritus Harvey Jones Sr. retired after 41 years of pastoring the Church of the Loving God. The name of the church was changed from the "Church of the Living God" to the "Church of the Loving God" when we moved to our Delta Street location, and we are non-denominational bible teaching church. Our Pastor and First Lady will celebrate their 19th  wedding anniversary on May 27, 2003, one week after Pastor emeritus Harvey Jones Sr. and wife Maxine celebrates their 59th wedding anniversary on May 20, 2003.

   Our Pastor and First Lady are a down to earth family that truly loves the Lord. They have 3 children: Harlan 16, Hope 14, and Doral 12. They also have 3 children from a previous marriage: Haven 31, Sharmaun 29, and Shalette 27, 11 grandchildren, 2 dogs and a cat
