        I've been trying to connect ICS since yesterday. Does anyone know
if the chess server is closed during a particular day of the week or could
my failure to connect be due to some technical reason?

It appears to me that ICS is rarely available over the weekend.  Ping
shows that eve.assumption.edu is alive, so I guess ICS must be down.  I
always suffer withdrawal syndromes when I can't play on Mondays (my
Mondays).  Wonder if there is a reason for it, or maybe it just crashed
and died every weekend.
