Subject: New addresses for ICS and chess FTP server

No one seems to have posted this information yet, so I will.

1) The North American ICS (Internet Chess Server) has moved again.  I
think the new address is hoped to be more permanent than the last one.
To connect to the new server, use the command

        telnet coot.lcs.mit.edu 5000

or the equivalent for whatever ICS interface you're using.

If the host name doesn't work for you, you can try the numeric
address:

        telnet 18.52.0.70 5000

2) The European ICS is using varying port numbers.  (I don't know
why).  If the normal commands

        telnet bentley.daimi.aau.dk 5000
or      
        telnet 130.225.16.162 5000

don't work, try 5001 in place of 5000...then 5002, 5003, etc.

3) The chess FTP server has moved to

        ftp chess.uoknor.edu
or
        ftp 129.15.10.254

The new proprietor has tidied up the files quite a bit.  Hooray!
