The latest address is telnet chess.panix.com 5000 the 5000 is very important. Without the 5000 you get a computer that wants a password and won't get you to ICS in any case. To register for a password on the ICS machine, the following help instructions from ICS are provided "Send mail to TheDane (d...@daimi.aau.dk). In your mail, make sure there is one line formatted exactly like the following: addplayer NAME E_MAIL where NAME is an alphabetical name you wish to use (like "MataPato") and E-MAIL is your e-mail address (like "chan...@cmu.edu). NAME should only contain the letters [a..zA..Z]. Digits (such as 1, 2) and other characters such as "-" and " ") are NOT allowed. To see if a name such as "foobar" already exists do "stats foobar" when logged into ICS. Once your account is made, we will send you a password which you can change on-line." Good luck.
