CRESCENT PARK BEACH

All along the shores of Narragansett Bay, park visitors from the
1880s through the early decades of the 20th century, enjoyed the
pristine waters surrounding Crescent Park.



Pollution of the Bay eventually choked the Park and a good portion
of the Rhode Island tourist economy.  Recent efforts by the "Save
the Bay" organization have had a positive effect on the cleaning
up of Rhode Island's greatest resource!
