DODGEM

...or Bumper Cars, as some folks called them.  Many youngsters would
watch the previous contest to see which car was running fast that day.
Some chose their car by color...Sue liked yellow...Eddie liked green...
I fancied the blue myself.


The Dodgem was a visitor favorite


Remember the feeling of being caught in a five car "log-jam" and you
could see your friend bearing down on you.  Then you could wait on the
outside for your target to make the turn, and turn head-on into the
on-coming traffic...BAM!  Often resulting in a warning from the ride
operator, but the scolding was well worth the adrenaline rush.
