PENNY ARCADE
The forerunner to the game room...The Penny Arcade was a grand old building
with pinball machines, photo booths, and the legendary SKEE-BALL. If you
collected enough tickets you could trade them in for some toys and trinkets.
Being near the Carousel, you could listen to the wonderful Wurlitzer
organ from just up the hill while you played a game of pinball. A common
meeting place for teenagers, "I'll see you in the arcade after school!"
One of the great attractions was the photo booths that were inside the
arcade. For 10 cents you and your friend could have a strip of pictures
