THE SOLUTION |

| I soon found myself at the local Home Depot looking at the Black
& Decker Master Cart. It was basically a two piece rolling
tool chest made of plastic. It sure looked like the solution if I
could only get everything crammed into it. The last thing I wanted to do was build another box to carry around with me. It had to be able to replace everything. The only thing I wanted to carry was my planes, my transmitter box, and a single field box. The more I looked at the Black & Decker Master Cart, the less sure I was about it filling my needs. So I walked away discouraged. |

Several things attracted me to this box over the other. One
is that it is quite a bit larger. Even though there are three (vice two)
separable sections, you don't need to separate them to gain access to
the compartments. The top tool chest measures 19"W x 9.5"D x 5"H, for 902.5cu/in of space. It has a removable tool tote that is 1-1/4" deep. The center drawer section measures 16"W x 8"D x 4"H, for 512cu/in of space The bottom tilt out bin section measures 16"W x 9"D x 12"H, for 1728cu/in of space. Overall, the box measures 20"W x 10"D x 27"H. It has a sturdy aluminum two position telescoping handle for pulling the box along on its 5" wheels. Well, I bought it and took it home. For about a week, I studied it and planned on how I could get it to replace all of the other items I was lugging to the field. The box needed to perform the following functions, or it was going back... |

| Again, I wasn't about to add another item to the things I carried. If this couldn't replace them all, it was going back. For about a week, I took stock of what I needed this box to do and tried to figure out how to do it. | ||||||||||||
