I can't contact my Buyer/Seller!
Top : eBay : General : Making Contact

So the auction is over, and you can't contact the buyer or seller? This page was originally written with the buyer in mind, but can easily apply to sellers as well.

Here is what I do. When I win an auction, I tag that as day 0, unless it's not a business day, then I tag the following business day as day 0.

I send e-mail EVERY SINGLE DAY, giving full information about the auction and myself, and asking for any information that I need. I post the day number on the subject line, and increment it every business day.

By day 5, if I have not heard from the seller, I CC safeharbor, informing both that I have been trying to reach the seller for 5 business days. I then continue the daily e-mail, but I only CC safeharbor on day 5.

By day 10, I pull their contact info and try to get them on the phone every day. I also continue the daily e-mails.

By day 15, I CC safeharbor a second time, informing both that since I have been unable to establish contact with the seller for 15 business days (three weeks), I no longer consider myself obligated for the transaction. If necessary, I inform safeharbor that the seller's contact info may be false.
