The HACC Described

Top : The Land of Oz : The HACC : HACC Conventions

Each book is described in four lines. The first line tells us the year in which the book took place (which is not necessarily the year it was written or published, although it usually is) and the title. The second line is the author. The third line is the publisher. In many cases, a book will be published many times by different publishers. We have endeavored to provide the most famous or the most recent publisher. The fourth line is a status code telling us what "kind" of an Oz book it is. The status codes are explained below.

Code Description
Famous Forty Original series by Reilly & Britton and later Reilly & Lee. Considered by most Oz scholars to constitute the "official" series. Assuming that my HTML is up to snuff, these titles should be in red.
IWOOC Extension Oz books published by the International Wizard of Oz Club. Considered by most to be "almost official".
Major Publisher Non-FF book published by a major publishing house.
Small Press Oz book published by a small publishing house.
Private Printing Printed and published through the author or someone else.
Unpublished Book is waiting reveiw or funding to be published.
Unavailable This book is unavailable due to a number of reasons (maybe...)

The difference between Small Press and Private Printing is quite blurry and often the terms are interchangeable.
