The Historically Accurate Chronological Chain (HACC)
In the past 100+ years, many people have written Oz books, all more or less
true to the original series. The HACC is an effort by myself and Chris
Dulabone to determine which novels are "real" Oz history and to
determine when they occurred. We have many rules
for this and currently, the HACC comprises about 210 books, many of which
are not published.
Ongoing research into Ozian Pre-history
My field of interest in the Land of Oz is ancient history. That is,
everything that happened in Oz before Dorothys house landed on the Wicked
Witch of the East. Most of the original books do not cover this topic much,
and the other books are spotty at best. Thus, this is a very challenging
field. I have written a small paper called The Seven Ages of Oz
discussing some broad strokes of ancient Ozian history. Soon this will be
available online.
Prelude to Oz
This is my own Oz book. It will start from the time the Fairy Queen Lurline
created Oz and will end with the arrival of the Wizard. Progress is very
slow, so expect it to be out around the year 3000. It will be about Ozroar,
the first king of Oz, as he tries to fulfill Lurlines statement that all the
area is now called the Land of Oz and he is their ruler. Needless to say,
the other local rulers are less than thrilled that their sovereignty has
been overruled.
Summaries of the Famous Forty
The original forty Oz books are rather hard to find, for the most part. I am
currently writing text summaries of all of them and will post them on the
Internet. This way, people can get the gist of Oz history without having the
actual books. This project has expanded to include ALL Oz books.
The Enchanted Patchwork Quilt of Oz
This is a story written by Mr. Ryan Gannaway, author of several fine Oz
books, some of which have actually been published. This one is rife with
technical errors, however, and Chris Dulabone (CEO of Buckethead
Enterprises of Oz) has challenged me to "clean it up", in the
textual rather than the moral sense.
ORG on the Web
This is not the ORG domain on the Internet. ORG stands for the Oz Research
Group. We write papers about various aspects of the Land of Oz. It is my
hope to post these on the Web some day. This is where I wrote my paper
The Seven Ages of Oz, as you can see in Project number 2.
("Who's number 1?" "That would be telling")
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Get it? This is Project number 6! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
