Born October 21, 1917 in Asheville, North
Carolina. Passed away Friday, January 5,
2001 in Spokane. Enlisting in the U.S. 
Army in 1937 and became a pilot. Upon
his retirement as Base Commander of 
Fairchild Air Force Base in 1965, He
became the Director of Airports for 
Spokane County.
He is survived by his beloved wife Betty,
his daughters, Sally and Janet, (daughters
Jill and Judith preceded him in death);
grandchildren Laura, Preston, Jason and
Janelle; and great-grandchildren, Luleika,
Ahmana and Siraj.
