Not a picture from riding camp, but of a beetle we found the morning of 17-July, lying on its back in our driveway. It's about 45 mm long, 20 wide. We thought it was a scarab, but the antennae terminate in a single, assymetric club, not a triplet like those of scarabs. It might be a carrion beetle.

Trotting past.

All done. Time to head back to the stables.

In the stables with Minx, Cassandra's favorite, but suffering from a cold.

Getting water for the horses.

With her graduating class.

Final pose with Minx. The upper left corner is messy because Dad had his finger over the lens and we didn't have enough time to digitally remove it. By the way, one other picture was digitally changed to remove an object. Can you tell which one it is?
Cassandra had a week of riding lessons. She learned a number of things. Foremost seems to be if you are rising up in the saddle, your butt will get sore. Send her an e-mail for details. Her user id @cox.net is CSandy.
