Biblical answers to questions you and those around you are asking or should be asking.

"IF WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS IS TRUE…"

So far, the Theology series has been about God and how He reveals Himself.  I hope that reading the handouts and looking up the Scriptures has helped you understand a bit better the why and the how of God's revelation.  I also hope that thinking about this topic has raised questions in your mind.  Some of the more common questions are listed below.  As you read them, think about how you might answer them:

1.            If God has revealed Himself inside us (conscience) and all around us (nature, history) doesn't that mean that God is showing us something about Himself in everything He has created?

2.            If God's revelation is everywhere then doesn't that mean that unbelievers are wrong to say that either God does not exist, or that God has not made Himself known?

3.            If the revelation of God to us is as complete as the Bible seems to indicate then why are there still unbelievers?  Why are there people who claim that there is no God at all?

4.            If the Bible is God's interpretation of His revelation, then does this mean that people who reject or do not read the Bible cannot understand the world they live in, the focus of history, or even themselves?

5.            If the Holy Spirit teaches God's people what God's Word says, then how come everyone who reads the Bible does not understand it the same way?

6.            If God's revelation is unclear does the fault lie with God or with us?

Can you think of any other questions that either you or someone you know has asked?  Write to me with your questions and comments.  In the next several weeks we will discuss these questions and any others that are raised.
