CT's C.U.R.E. (Connecticut's Citizens to Uphold the Right to Educate) was founded in 1989 by Attorney Deborah G. Stevenson to support CT homeschoolers' right to educate their children. C.U.R.E.'s focus has been on legal and legislative matters and in this as well as other ways they have provided an invaluable service over the years. Recently C.U.R.E. has broadened its work to take on a national focus as the National Home Education Legal Defense which seeks to provide membership based legal support to homeschoolers.

C.U.R.E. was formed in order to maintain our obligation and right under the law the teach our own children. C.U.R.E. assists parents and public school personnel in learning about CT homeschooling law. It also watches the legislature to make sure the laws are not changed in a way that negatively impacts our right to homeschool.
