The Sleeping Giant Homeschoolers is a local group centered in Hamden. The group takes its name from the Sleeping Giant State Park in northern Hamden which is a long ridge of hills best seen from I-91 north out of New Haven. The ridge is reminiscent of a sleeping giant (think of Gulliver in Lilliput). Not only is the park a neat resource it also makes a positive statement about homeschooling's future.
Check out the Sleeping Giant Web Page for an overall look at the group.
Review the Statement of Purpose to get a feel for the group's direction.
Be sure to check out my photo tour of the Sleeping Giant State Park, including a nice view of the ridge as seen from I-91.
