March 31 2003- EXPLORATION PLACE Races

Exploration Place Races will be on May 4th and September 21st, 2003. I was told if you need power you better bring it. John Leeker has told me he has a small generater we could use but it will only run the computer so you may want to charge up your batteries before you come out or use your car battery. Hopefully we can use one Iron with the generater.

As I was typing in the date to this I couldn't help but stop for a minute to remember the tragedy that happened only one year ago tomorrow and how strong of nation we live in . God Bless America.

This was quite an event and it took a lot of people to pull it off.

81 Speedway worked with the City of Park City to help sponsor this event
Jeff Werner worked with 81 Speedway and coordinated the trophies, 
door prizes, buttons. 
Jeff also did a great job of announcing and kept our spectators interested
 in what was going on.
Ken Peterson worked to get our celebrities and help announce some races

Brent Chaffee made the track layout and helped to keep it maintained all day
Joe Jandrakovic from TQ Pro Shop provided parts for anyone who 
needed them plus gave away 2 motors
Cody Jandrakovic help with the counting
Leeker's supplied the area we raced on, electricity plus had their 
concession station available
Wendy's,HobbyTown, Exploration Place,O'Reillys Auto Parts for their donations

CLUB RACES FOR SEPTEMBER 22ND WILL BE AT EXPLORATION PLACE

Marty Sigwing from Exploration Place has invited us back once again to race on there parking lot , September 22nd . I would like to share with you an e-mail from Marty .....

We were very pleased with the June 15th event. I wish that all of our club
events went as well, and had as much internal support as yours did. I think
the idea of doing something at the end of August, or the beginning of
September, would be great. If you guys would like to pick several dates
(Sat's or Sun's) and email them to me, we can start there. Once we get a
date pinned down, we (Exploration Place) will start planning some media
stuff.

Let me know on the tentative dates, and please tell the club members thanks
for putting on such a good show!
