It looks like I've gotten back to the sporadic posting pattern I was trying to avoid.
Work is really "eating my lunch," so to speak. We just expanded to 140
clients and there are a significant number of problems (most anticipated, but some
a complete surprise) that need solving. I just finished writing 2500 words on possible
problem fixes for the work web site. The Head Rat has not been well, either and
Rat, Jr. is going to school full time and just got a new job. I realize that these
aren't really earth-shaking problems, but when you are as intellectually lazy as
I tend to be, most nights I just don't feel like working on a thoughtful, well-constructed
essay. (Or the drivel I usually post here, either.)
After reading the thoughts on Lent
over at the Smedley Log, I considered giving up "not posting" for Lent.
But, that would require a concurrent commitment to give up interacting with the
rest of the family (at whatever marginal quality level I can muster) or give up
the mindless, electronic narcotic that is Television in all its dazzling 300 channel
splendor. I seriously considered the "give up interacting with the family"
option, but in the end, I guess I'm just going to have to be satisfied with intermittent
posting, as the muse permits.
