MY BEAUTIFUL SON

My beautiful baby boy,
So precious and so new.
With the hair the colour of gold,
And eyes of satin blue.
 

Your skin is peachy silk.
You're perfect in every way.
With all your fingers and your toes,
To the teeth you'll have some day.
 

With beautiful rosy lips,
That turns into a smile.
Your giggle fills the air,
I'm so glad you are my child.
 

You are growing up so quickly,
And getting stronger every day.
Watching you develop,
While you are at play.
 

I love the way I'm needed,
When you cry for me at night.
I wrap a blanket around you,
And hold you in my arms so tight.
 

It fills me with renewed love,
When I watch you sleep.
You look so angel like,
And it makes my heart leap.
 

It leaps in a way,
I find hard to express,
But gently I take your hand,
And slowly I caress.
 

I hope you know I love you,
With everything in my heart.
There is no love stronger,
And nothing will break it apart.
 

So close your eyes baby,
Cry no more tears tonight.
Relax your weary head,
In my arms that hold you tight.
