sunfield lyrics

Statue Mary Rose

Statue Mary Rose

Forest faerie flutters freely through the garden rows,
I follow watching from behind the statue Mary Rose.
Pollen slow ascends from garden peddles morning mist,
The sky is gray and overcast yet still the sun persists.
His offering of golden rings engage his flower bride,
As she awakes to sleep again out in the field she dies,
All alone, the statue Mary Rose.

Harvest moon reflects on dew beads buds have barely sprung,
the lark sits silent nesting waiting for the summer sun.
The forest phantom shadow prince eludes me in the trees,
through briar, branch and thicket he doeth pass through with great ease.
I followed on with cloak and cane and rested on a stone,
looking down a shadow thrown by statue Mary Rose.
In the garden froze, the statue Mary Rose.

And the sun it glows on the statue Mary Rose.
And the garden glows the statue Mary Rose.
And the sun shown on statue Mary Rose.
