in the curtains, behind the spyglass,
beneath the smoke rings that loom round her head.
She flows like fountains, disturbing silence,
like a black spider in crystal bead web.
I feel her spirit pouring on me
in my chambers all luminous red.
I see her demons in the shadows
in their masses all crouched round my head.
The forest phantom, consuming fire glow,
arms all stretched out in the fields of the sun.
You conjure faeries, through leaf and berries
and they appear in the meadow flies hum.
We saw the shadow ones come down
from crystal mountain in the roar of the day.
Emanate through thorny vine,
the ugly little people shine their eyes through the haze.
Starboard nine the floating eyes, blanket the sun.
