Dr. Centennial
Dr. Centenial's going insane
He threw all his things away
He walks through the corridors out in the air
He's watching the aeroplanes
When all the city is astir,
he sits alone in the rain
No one seems to notice him
slowly slipping away
Dr. Centenial's losing his mind
He sat in his car today
He rolled up the windows and locked all the doors
He's not coming out they say
The institute of mental health
is trying to have him paged
But all the while he's sitting alone
quietly going insane
Dr. Centenial's losing his brain
He opened the doors today
And all of the patients are leaving their rooms
They meet on the promanade
When all the city is asleep
and safely tucked away
Dr. Centenial's laughing men
are marching the strange parade
