Green $lime slides down walls of marble halls where once walked only the bold and brave. There now hollow men defame robes and titles once so honored, and bow low in service to men who worship only gold. Those corrupted dare not speak the truth, and the fools among them know it not.
Shadows now barely hide deceit, yet so well disguised. My heart cries out as now I clearly see. Where once Eagles flew to keep us free, now vultures prey on those they swore to serve.
With
no one left to care, vine$ invade
the cracks in once strong pillars of loyalty and devotion to freedom and
the people. The angels cry and the gargoyles weep, for their eyes cannot
be clouded by lust and deceit.
Through
carefully crafted veils of lies and half truth, they clearly see the rotting
corpses of the dreams and hopes of the people, and rise once
more to battle our age old enemy, … Greed.
