The Military Oath

Thoughts and questions about the military oath that every member of the Military of the United States must swear to have been swirling around in my mind for many years. I have read the oath over and over again, and have finally concluded that it contains egregious errors that were probably not intentional, but are none the less in obvious conflict and might be considered a "terminal error".

The Military Oath:

The following oath is taken by all personnel inducted into the armed forces of the United States, as found in the US Code, Section 502.

I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

The first two elements to "support and defend the constitution", and "bear true faith and allegiance to the same", are certainly legitimate and appropriate.

The next element, "I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me …", assumes that the President and Officers of the military are also faithful to the oath. No provision is made for circumstances wherein the latter are shown not to be honoring the oath and to actually be traitors acting in a manner that violates the Constitution. Such acts seem to me to render George W. Bush, his owners, and their accomplices "domestic enemies". Here we have a "Catch 22" situation.

It seems to me that the first two elements of the oath state the focus and intent of the oath to support and defend the Constitution reflect the primary intent of the oath. The following elements seem secondary, and intended to provide the means whereby the first two should be accomplished.

Thus, in my humble opinion, all of those in the military who are not a part of, or knowingly and actively participating in, the unconstitutional acts orchestrated by the President and participating high ranking officers, should be motivated by the primary directives of their oath. Thus they should consider the President and all military officers and personnel who knowingly carry out his illegal and unconstitutional orders traitors who have attacked the constitution and "the people". Thus, all loyal and honorable soldiers have not only the right, but also the obligation to consider the President and his minions "the enemy" and treat them accordingly once they are aware of this treason and violation of the oath.

George Bush's statement that The Constitution" is just a piece of paper, in and of itself, shows his contempt for The Constitution and Laws of the United States. It is thereby obvious that he is an enemy of the Citizens of the United States of America. The numerous other unconstitutional acts committed by George W. Bush and his administration clearly show their contempt for The Constitution, and ongoing program to enslave the American people and the peoples of the world.

I urge everyone to consider these facts and conclusions, and how they might be used to help take our country back from the criminals who now control it. I also urge you to send this message to everyone.
