Wolves
in Sheep's Clothing
He who knows not, and knows not that
he knows not....is a fool.
In
January of 1995, Mr. Mario Quomo bitterly complained that the people, whom
he referred to as sheep, failed him and his party by rejecting them. The
nerve of them, after he and his Democratic Party had done so much to try
to lead them into prosperity through ever increasing taxes, government
programs, welfare and state subsidies! Mr. Quomo has made the same mistake
as that of so many before him, who could not understand that excessive
taxation and regulation represents real repression of the masses.
Some of our citizens are indeed sheep who must be led, but far more are
real people who merely seek the opportunity to work toward their destiny
under circumstances whereby they are fairly compensated for their efforts.
Not sheep, but real people with strength and integrity who struggle to
achieve their goals in life for themselves and their families, as well
as their posterity and that of all of those they love and care for.
Our America is a nation of individual people, not sheep, most of who seek
to be free of government meddling in their lives. Free to live and love,
to succeed or to fail. These great people cannot be led through life by
self-proclaimed shepherds like Mr. Quomo, regardless of how sincere and
dedicated these shepherds may be.
Mr. Quomo's perfect state, where all who do not work and do not contribute
to their country must be supported by the government, is merely a form
of slavery in disguise. Although these enslaved people may not clearly
recognize this yet, many already know, and most of the rest soon will learn,
that they cannot be happy and fulfilled by any system that guarantees them
a minimal level of subsistence if they simply follow orders and do what
a self proclaimed wise and strong government tells them to.
Since the 1960's the Great Society Programs have grown, and their bureaucracies
have prospered. Although they were supposed to eliminate poverty, they
instead established poverty as a right, and the concept that one could
indeed be a politically poor, but proud parasite. The government then rewarded
these political poor with a guaranteed standard of living, income, food
stamps, subsidized housing, and a number of other perks, that essentially
assured them a standard of living equivalent, or in many cases superior,
to those of many lower income working families.
Thus, poverty was institutionalized and essentially preserved, not eliminated!
This established a subsidized, non-productive segment of the society, wherein
births to unwed mothers were promoted and rewarded, and the family structure
as well as family values were demeaned and destroyed.
At the same time as the poor were institutionalized, the industries that
would have employed them, so that they would have become productive, moved
out of the United States. This essentially eliminated any possibility of
these people being productively employed in this country, and resulted
in the transfer and development of industrial bases abroad to supply products
such as televisions, video cameras, shoes, clothing, automobiles, and many
other things, not to mention even the Barbie Doll.
This Institutionalized poverty is far more insidious that it might appear
superficially. It now costs over $200,000,000,000 annually, including Medicaid,
and is supported primarily by taxes on lower and middle income families.
This has the effect of not only depriving the working taxpayers of a significant
portion of their hard earned income, but it also precludes the institutionalized
poor from working and contributing to production, and eliminates these
people paying any income taxes or F.I.C.A. to lighten the tax burden on
those Americans who do work.
Over the past few years, more and more small businesses have found themselves
heavily taxed in an almost infinite number of ways. Burdened by ever increasing
Social Security and Payroll Taxes, outrageously inflating health insurance
premiums and costs, and ever broadening and stifling government regulations
and restrictions, their strength and commitment is failing. Soon N.A.F.T.A.
and G.A.T.T. will finish most of them off.
As they flounder and are forced out of business, we are loosing our jobs
and entire industries, and all too many of our citizens can no longer support
themselves and their families. With great sorrow, despair and humiliation
they then must turn to Unemployment Compensation, Welfare, Food Stamps,
and whatever other resources they can find to help them sustain themselves
and their families in this time of personal and national crisis.
As fewer and fewer still have jobs, how will we pay the rapidly rising
taxes necessary to fund the programs of the government? When all of the
industries have left the U.S.A. to avail themselves of lower cost labor
abroad, who will still be working? Who will pay the taxes that fund all
of the wonderful programs to support those of us who have no jobs and for
whom there exists no work?
Where will the money come from to provide the unemployed tens of millions
of Americans food, clothing and shelter in this great society where nobody
does without? From where will the empty coffers of the Social Security
Trust be refilled for the trillion dollar annual cost of Social Security,
pensions, Medicare and Medicaid? How will we pay the interest on a Third
Party Federal Debt of over five trillion dollars?
When the factory doors all are closed, the workers will sit home with their
children, and wonder where they will find their next meal. How long will
it be before the power company will disconnect the electricity because
they can't pay the bills? How long will it be before the bank forecloses
on their home loan, and comes to evict them because they have no money
to pay the note? This is no prophecy, it is happening right now across
our country, even as you read this.
Soon, even the grocery stores will see their sales decline rapidly, as
will the fast food outlets and all of the rest of the retail sector. These
businesses will also begin to lay off their employees, as their revenues
subside, and even the minimum wage jobs will fade into oblivion, or go
to those with masters and doctorate degrees.
When the citizens of this country have no more money to spend and consume,
Wall Street will collapse, and the economies of Japan and most other developed
countries of this world will also fail. Those consumed with greed, who
have indeed controlled their, not our, government for over three decades,
will then have to try to sell their goods to their foreign labor who make
only a few pennies an hour! Apparently only then will they truly understand
how economies function, and that without the effective demand created by
well paid labor, there is no need for management, the cost of supply is
of no consequence whatsoever, and there are no profits.
Profits will soon become the least of the worries of the rich and powerful,
however. When the masses can no longer feed their families, they will rise
in frustration and anger. Hunger and desperation will transform those who
Mr. Quomo's sees as sheep into voracious wolves that will prowl the land,
searching for and destroying all of those whom they blame for their misery.
History will repeat itself, and more of the prophecies of Nostradamus will
come to pass.
Deny it if you will, but this is our future if we continue to allow those
incompetent and corrupt individuals, who presently control The United States
of America, to continue to do so.
