Frank Seier, Sr. was born April 1, 1886, the son of August and Anna Seier. They resided on a farm 1 mile south of Raeville.
November 26, 1912, he married Mary Bueltell, the daughter of Louis & Katherine Bueltell. They purchased a farm 5 1/2 miles south and east of Petersburg in August 1818 from Frank's parents who bought the land in December 1906.
This union was blessed by six children, twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Irene (born July 9, 1914), married to Joe Oberbrockling, who passed away July 9, 1960, had three children, Joe, David, and Paul.
Alvera (born June 23, 1916), married to Ray Schumacher, had seven children, Kenneth, JoAnn, Dianne & Doris, three deceased, Marlene, Gary & Mary Ann.
Genevieve (born February 17, 1918), married to Walter Goetzinger, had three children, Mary Jane, Judy, and Sandra.
Dolores (born January 14, 1921), married to Adolph Staska, deceased April 9, 1970, no children.
Frank, married to Margorie Camp, had ten children, Donald, Ralph, Michael, Ann, Karen, Patrick, Lavern, Leon, Marvin & Myron.
Mildred, married to Alvin Luetell, had five children, Robert, Donna, Debra, Roger, and Dianne.
Frank and Mary Seier spent their entire life on the farm until Frank met his death in a car accident March 9, 1957. Mary remained on the farm until she moved to Petersburg in the spring of 1969. Mary retired at the Wolf Memorial home in Albion, Nebraska until her death January 1, 1976.
All of the children have followed the occupation of their parents in farming and business directly related to the land.
